XR Nation Citizen's Spotlight: Vividly

Updated: Jan 27, 2021

Citizen's Spotlight is a weekly series sharing an XR Nation citizen's story.

RIGA, LATVIA (October 20, 2020) – Vividly is an immersive design consultancy based in Riga, Latvia that embraces the meaningful use of XR technology for urban planning and architecture. We develop solutions that allow for communicating space in more effective ways.

Vividly was founded by architect and urbanist Gunita Kuļikovska in 2016 after launching a successful project at the Tallinn Architecture Biennale. Working hand-in-hand with architects, our mission was to change the way architects designed by building an easy and accessible web solution that allowed for integrating VR into their daily workflow and using it as a new medium for expanding the limits of imagination, teamwork, and client communications.

Since then, Vividly’s know-how has emerged from its core business in VR applications to full visual empowerment for architecture and urban project developers, expanding into exciting directions such as the satellite project “The Museum from Home”. Together with US-based studio INVI, we have formed an international consortium to support museums and cultural organisations with 3D and immersive solutions during these turbulent times, setting up the groundwork for the virtual museums of the future.

The Vividly team is also involved with cross-sectoral projects regarding data-driven urban planning and citizen engagement across Baltic Sea region cities.

Our focus is on consulting and strategy for the right visual and immersive communication means to fit the purpose, only then do we work to create solutions in-house and with our partner network such as XR Nation. Business-wise we are looking for strategic partners from Stockholm, Helsinki, and Tallinn.
